    Browser Support

The Communications of the ACM Web site is designed for display in the following combinations of browsers and platforms:

Supported Browsers and Platforms (as of January 1, 2009)

Core content and functionality will be supported in some older versions of these browsers, but enhanced functionality may not be available and the presentation of content will not be optimal. If you are experiencing trouble with the site, and are using an earlier release of one of these browsers, we would strongly encourage installing a more recent release and seeing if that resolves the problem.

    Use of JavaScript and CSS

The display of content and features on the Communications of the ACM site relies heavily on cascading style sheets (CSS) and, to a lesser extent, on JavaScript. The site is best experienced with these functions enabled. If you are browsing with JavaScript and CSS turned off, you will still be able to access all of the content, but will not be able to take advantage of some of the site’s advanced features or see the content displayed as intended.

    Accessibility

The site’s underlying templates, including the outer shell of the site and dynamic content comply with Section 508 accessibility standards and W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0, where applicable. It is possible that some Communications of the ACM legacy content may not conform to these guidelines.

Please contact [email protected] if you need technical support.
