The Bank of Israel is testing Ethereum's blockchain technology as part of a new internal digital shekel trial.
Israel's central bank indicated in a May report that the digital payment system could simplify payment processes while securing both parties in a transaction.
The Bank of Israel is seeking smart application ideas that could run on the digital infrastructure.
