Stephen Brobst, the chief technology officer for Teradata Corp., is widely regarded as a leading expert in data warehousing. Before joining Teradata in October 1999, Brobst successfully launched three start-up companies related to high-end database products and services in the data warehousing and e-business marketplaces.
In an interview, he discusses his career path, spending time with customers, and storing his first programs on cassette tape.
