Seny Kamara is an associate professor of Computer Science at Brown University.

As a computer science undergraduate, Seny Kamara began to show more than a passing interest in information security, a subject on which he would ultimately focus his research.

In an interview, Kamara talks about his current research focus on the intersection between social responsibility and cryptography/technology and the need for multidisciplinary work in this arena. The discussion also covers his class, Algorithms for the People, where participants "...discuss how technology affects marginalized groups and how it is being used against marginalized groups."
